The koi carp displays its majestic swimming in the pure waters of the ornamental ponds. We admire it peacefully, breathing the pure air that surrounds us. To maintain the purity of the air and water, Madame Mo also wears her hummingbird feather costume. To make her koinobori, she naturally chooses a material that respects nature and people: organic cotton.
Organic cotton is grown without using insecticides or pesticides but using natural compost.
The amount of water required for its growth is reduced by half because without the application of chemicals, water consumption is reduced considerably.
Rotating its crop helps oxygenate the land, preserve it and break the cycle of diseases.
All Madame Mo koinoboris are logically GOTS certified, a label which guarantees compliance with environmental and social criteria throughout the textile sector. The independent organizations ECOCERT and CONTROL UNION audit at least once a year all the players in this sector: from groups of organic farmers to manufacturing, including spinning and weaving.
