Company name: MAEDA SENKO Co,Ltd
Founded: 1961
Headquarters: Kyoto, Japan
Main business: Planning and manufacturing of Japanese-style textile products
Company Description :
In the 1950s, when founder Seiichi Maeda started Maeda Dyeing and Processing Works, it was the era of furoshiki (furoshiki) in gift giving.
Initially it did not have their own factory, but three years later after its construction, they became one of the largest dyeing factories in Kyoto, thanks to the early introduction of wide printing tables and automatic screens.
Over time, the gifts that replaced furoshiki began to increase, and they began making and selling Japanese-style handkerchiefs for tourist souvenir shops in Kyoto, which became the foundation of their current main business, the tourism product channel.
From the 1970s until the beginning of the Heisei period, the company developed many products for interior design, department stores and Japanese clothing. Although it was also a dyeing factory, it also developed as a manufacturer of Japanese miscellaneous goods.
Since the 2000s, in addition to traditional pattern dyeing, they have introduced inkjet printers and sublimation transfer machines that perform well in small-batch, high-mix production, and also demonstrate their strength in the field of Western characters and products.
